The MCA represents a world-leading minerals sector that is dynamic, diverse, sustainable and valued by all Australians.

Year 13

We work in partnership with Year13 to better understand young Australians and to encourage them to explore opportunities in the mining and automotive sectors.

Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia

Indigenous Women in Mining and Resources Australia (IWIMRA) was founded in 2017 to create a stronger connection amongst Indigenous women in Australia’s mining and resources sector.

IWIMRA partners with industry to continually raise the profile of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and to contribute to best practice solutions.

Through lived experiences and its narrative of Indigenous intersectionality, it is IWIMRA’s priority to ensure the visibility, voice and quality participation of Indigenous women.

IWIMRA aspires to lead with clarity and purpose, working with industry to build solutions-driven, cross-culture influential relationships, that will continue to contribute towards its sustainable future.

National Skills Week

We sponsored National Skills Week 2022

National Skills Week is dedicated to raising the profile and status of vocational learning dispelling outdated myths and showcasing the attractive career opportunities for all Australians.

Vocational Educations and Training (VET) has been the foundation of Australia’s strong and vibrant economy. It has produced industry leaders, it offers great diversity, new and exciting career paths, supports our resources and primary industries, builds cities, supports our tourism, our monuments, our heritage and much, much more.

The theme for 2022 was A Universe of Skills: Go Beyond Your Imagination

With hundreds of diverse career choices open across the mining and energy sector, opportunities exist on remote sites, in city-based offices and high-tech control and management centres, in science as well as computer laboratories, in a mix of locations across Australia

You can make a career managing a team, rehabilitating mine sites, building robotics or piloting drones, en.gineering machinery, safeguarding native plants and animals, social and community responsibility and philanthropy, and tackling climate change building skills to work anywhere around the world.
