Consultation across the VET sector found that many experienced practitioners carry significant informal leadership responsibilities that are essential to organisational capability but are not always recognised or supported. Succession planning, leadership development and creating opportunities to retain and share expertise were identified as critical to strengthening the future VET workforce.
