Review of shared resources and infrastructure units
On 19 August 2026, Skills Ministers endorsed updates to the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry Training Package.
The endorsed changes were published on the National Training Register on 2 September 2026.
Project overview
In this project, AUSMASA collaborated with BuildSkills to provide input on any proposed changes to the reviewed units relevant to the mining sector. The training products included:
Review of the following units of competency:
- RIIWHS202 – Enter and work in confined spaces
- RIIWHS204 – Work safely at heights
- RIIBEF201 – Plan and organise work
- RIIMPO319 – Conduct civil construction backhoe/loader operations
- RIIMPO337 – Conduct articulated haul truck operations
- RIIMPO338 – Conduct rigid haul truck operations.
