Machine Control and Guidance (MCG) Analysis: Phase 1 – Foundation for Training Product Development

Project status

This project commenced in July 2026 and is due for completion in January 2027

Phase 1 will primarily be delivered over three months and include the following activities at each stage:

1. Stakeholder mapping to identify and map relevant stakeholders that need to be consulted with.
2. Structured consultation with current leaders in MCG delivery and use, as well as the appropriate unions.
3. Broadened workforce functional analysis drawing on job/task analysis methodology, including surveys, interviews, and workshop validation sessions.
4. Review of existing AUR Training Package units and cross-package units (CPP, ICT, UEE, AUR) to identify applicable content and avoid duplication.
5. Delivery of a validated Workforce Functional Analysis Report and Training Product Design Recommendation.

No training product development will occur in Phase 1. However, the final Workforce Functional Analysis Report and Training Product Design Recommendation will inform Phase 2 (pending agreement).
