Project status

Stage 1 has commenced and is due for completion in September 2026.

This project will undertake broad consultation with major stakeholders. This will ensure outcomes meet the needs of industry, employers and learners.

The steps below provide an outline of the project process. The timeline for each step is on the overview page.

Key stages

Stage 1

  • Project commences.
  • Create a consultation strategy to engage relevant stakeholders.
  • Form a Technical Committee (TC) that includes experts, state representatives, unions, employers and RTOs.

Stage 2

  • Commence initial consultation with stakeholders
  • Commence work on drafting entry requirements
  • Share revised entry requirements with stakeholders
  • Maintain a consultation log
  • Publish on the project webpage to ensure transparency.

Stage 3

  • Review and incorporate feedback
  • Seek support from the Technical Committee on revised entry requirements.

Stage 4

  • Prepare the final submission, including all required documentation for submission to DEWR.

Stage 5

  • Upload the training product to the National Training Register
  • Update the project webpage on the AUSMASA website to ensure transparency and accessibility.

Implementation & Promotion

  • Promote the renewed training products.
