Driving quality and equity in training by working with industry, employers and RTOs to strengthen delivery, promote career pathways, and ensure training has lasting impact.
Our Implementation, Promotion and Monitoring (IPM) activities are designed to ensure training is industry-relevant, inclusive, and focused on continuous improvement. Projects in this stream are outside the training product development process but may impact future development activities.
Through our IPM projects, we collaborate with employers, training providers, and key stakeholders to support quality training delivery, promote career pathways, and respond to evolving workforce needs.
Projects under the IPM stream may include:
- Monitoring and reviewing training outcomes to strengthen quality and support continuous improvement.
- Exploring and testing adjustments to how students are trained and assessed to better align with learner and industry needs.
- Partnering with employers and Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) to trial new approaches to training delivery and assessment.
- Supporting employers to understand, map and promote career pathways within their industries.
- Promoting initiatives that boost the retention of students, apprentices, trainees, and workers.
- Developing inclusive and accessible training approaches for priority cohorts, such as regional and remote learners, First Nations people, and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
- Engaging with other industries, schools, universities, and training providers to track and respond to current and emerging skills and workforce issues.
Our IPM work plays a key role in shaping a training system that is dynamic, inclusive, and responsive.

Scope
This activity builds on the findings of Phase 1 to develop a high-level qualification structure considering the requirements of industry, the appropriate AQF level (for example AQF7 Vocational Degree) and the Qualification Development Quality Principles as outlined in the TPOF.
The project will test feasibility across industry, education, and regulatory lenses to ensure the qualification reflects relevant job roles, is deliverable across provider types, and meets national skills priorities. This Implementation, Promotion and Monitoring activity will build on the findings of Phase 1.
