AUSMASA is the Australian Government's Jobs and Skills Council for the mining and automotive industries. We have established a national community of members who actively collaborate and contribute to the conversations influencing these sectors. Our members play a direct role in shaping workforce intelligence, training products and policy advice that drive both industries forward. By joining, your organisation can help shape these outcomes.

Who can join?

AUSMASA membership is open to organisations with an interest in skills and workforce development across the mining and automotive industries.

If your organisation is looking to contribute and influence positive change across the sector, we encourage you to become an AUSMASA member.

AUSMASA offers 3 different membership categories to reflect the range of organisations and roles across the mining and automotive sectors.

Become a member

Employer Members

Membership open to:

  • Large, medium and small organisations carrying out industry-based activities and employing people in the automotive and/or mining industry.
  • Enterprises who work in the automotive and/or mining industry or support those who work in the industries, such as industry associations and peak bodies.

Excludes Sole Traders (which may include consultants), Apprentice Connect Australia Providers, Employment Service Providers, Group Training Organisations (GTOs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and any other training organisations.

Membership is open to large, medium and small organisations that represent people (employees), such as unions or employee representative organisations.

Excludes individual employees, an unregistered employee collective, Apprentice Connect Australia Providers, Employment Service Providers, Group Training Organisations (GTOs), Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and any other training organisations.

Membership open to:

  • Apprentice Connect Australia Providers
  • Employment Service Providers
  • Group Training Organisations (GTOs),
  • Registered Training Organisations (RTOs)
  • Other training organisations in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) or research sectors.

Associate Members are not eligible to be nominated or vote in the election of AUSMASA Board Directors but may participate in all other stakeholder roles advertised by AUSMASA.
