Key stages of the work

Stage 1 includes:

  • Project planning
  • Developing the consultation strategy
  • Performing initial data analysis

Start: February 2024
End: April 2024

Stage 2 includes:

  • Establishing the Automotive Technical Advisory Group (TAG)

  • Undertaking public and government consultation on the impact of updating superseded units across qualifications in the AUM Automotive Manufacturing and AUR Automotive Retail, Service, and Repair training packages. 

  • Establishing the Mining Technical Advisory Group (TAG)  

  • Undertaking public and government consultation on the impact of updating superseded units across mining qualifications in the RII Resources and Infrastructure Industry training package.

  • Document, review and action, as appropriate, feedback from public and government consultation

Start: November 2024
End: March 2025

Stage 3 includes:

  • Develop report and options paper

  • Submit training products for endorsement by Assurance Body

  • Upload the endorsed training products to the National Training Register  

Start: April 2025 
End: June 2025
