Training Product Development

Review and revise a suite of drilling qualifications for the mining, geotechnical and water infrastructure sectors.

This project involves a national review and revision of a suite of RII drilling qualifications, to align with current industry practices, workforce needs and emerging demands.

It also includes developing 3 new skill sets to support national licensing requirements for water drillers, administered by the Australian Drilling Industry Association (ADIA) and the National Uniform Drillers' Licensing Committee (NUDLC).

Training products being reviewed include 5 qualifications, 63 Units of Competency and 3 new Skill Sets.

This project commenced in December 2025 and is due for completion in July 2027.

Expression of Interest (EOI) – Technical Committee (TC)

Please ensure you have read and agreed to the TC terms of reference before you express your interest. The primary role of the TC is to advise AUSMASA on the training product design, development, delivery, assessment, and consultation strategy for the project. 

TC members will be assessed according to the following criteria:

  • their knowledge, skills, and industry experience relevant to working with or in relation to the project
  • previous committee/advisory panel experience
  • capacity to commit the time required by the TC
  • willingness to collaborate with other TC members to achieve the objectives of the project
  • an assessment of any declared, actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest.

TC EOIs close Friday 20 February 2026.
