Develop training products to build capability in digital diagnostics, vehicle networking, and automotive cybersecurity

This project supports the growing demand for digital and connected technology skills across the automotive workforce.

This project responds to a critical and emerging skills need across the automotive industry including the mobile plant, marine, and agricultural sectors.

As vehicles and machinery increasingly incorporate advanced electronic systems, connectivity, and networked technologies, the workforce requires new and enhanced skills to diagnose, repair, and maintain these systems safely and effectively.

The project will deliver:

  • 1 new unit of competency focused on the use of digital diagnostic equipment in automotive workplaces
  • 2 new units of competency addressing complex fault diagnosis and cybersecurity practices within vehicle network communication systems
  • 1 new skill set on Vehicle Networking Systems to support specialised workforce capability development.
