Why become an AUSMASA member
As an AUSMASA member, your organisation will have the opportunity to influence positive change in national skills and workforce development.
Membership gives you a seat at the table with industry, governments, and educators to help meet the mining and automotive industries’ workforce capability requirements. It’s free to join. You can:
- Align your organisation with the Jobs and Skills Council for the mining industry and automotive industry.
- Influence positive change in national skills and workforce development, ensuring your part of industry is represented.
- Receive AUSMASA’s monthly newsletter, The Journey. It’s jam-packed with the latest automotive and mining industry news and events.
- AUSMASA members receive a digital badge that can be displayed on LinkedIn.
As a member, you will have opportunities to represent your organisation in a collaborative effort with industry peers, shaping how technology and training can influence learners and the workforce of the future.
AUSMASA membership categories
Ordinary Membership Employer
- Open to large, medium and small organisations carrying out industry-based activities and employing people in the automotive industry and/or mining industry.
- Includes sole traders, consultants, partnership and enterprises which work in the industry or support those who work in industry, such as industry associations and peak bodies.
Excludes Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), Group Training Organisations (GTOs), Australian Apprenticeship Support Network providers, Employment Service Providers and any other training organisations.
Ordinary Membership Employee
- Open to large, medium and small organisations that represent people (employees), such as unions or employee representative organisations.
Excludes RTOs, GTOs, Australian Apprenticeship Support Network providers, Employment Service Providers and any other training organisations.
Associate Membership
- Open to RTOs, GTOs, Australian Apprenticeship Support Network providers, Employment Service Providers and any other training organisations who are part of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector or research sectors.
- Open to government agencies.
Associate Members are not eligible to be nominated or vote in the election of Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance (AUSMASA) Board Directors but may participate in all other stakeholder roles advertised by AUSMASA.
Ready to become a member?
As an AUSMASA member, you will add value to your organisation and be part of the national conversation on jobs and skills for the mining and automotive sectors.
Each member organisation is asked to nominate one person who will be their central contact to receive notices and important announcements. You may nominate other people to participate in projects and activities.
There is no limit to these numbers, however every person who participates will need to agree to comply with our core values and the Mining and Automotive Skills Alliance Constitution, including respectfully dealing with all other participants as well as the JSC Code of Conduct as issued by the Department of Employment and Workforce Relations (DEWR).
